Key Considerations for FTTH Routers

1. Ethernet Port Speeds: Ensure all LAN/WAN ports match or exceed your fiber plan (1 Gbps minimum, 2.5–10 Gbps for multi-gig plans)
2. Processor & RAM: Dual-core 1.5 GHz or quad-core 2.0+ GHz with 512 MB+ RAM ensures full-line-speed throughput under heavy load
3. Wi-Fi Standard: Wi-Fi 6 or 7 is recommended to fully utilize fiber speeds wirelessly
4. Coverage & Mesh Support: For large or multi-story homes, consider routers with strong antennas or mesh expandability
5. Security Features: Built-in protection like NETGEAR Armor or AiProtection helps safeguard multiple devices These routers provide a balance of high-speed wired connections, advanced wireless performance, and robust security, making them ideal for maximizing FTTH fiber internet in homes or small offices.
